Smart Training
The trainer remembers which forms give you trouble and brings them back at growing intervals, until they truly stick.
Every translation starts with the same question: what form is this? Formentrainer teaches you to answer it, step by step, instead of guessing.

Six forms, exactly like in the app. You get the explanation after every answer, because being wrong is only useful once you understand why.
Tip: you can answer with keys 1–4 and move on with Enter.

Which person and number is this?
You can memorize vocabulary. Forms you have to understand. Formentrainer is built for exactly that, and nothing else.

From Discipulus to Imperator. Every correct answer counts.
Every tense, every mood, active and passive, plus nominal forms like PPP and PPA.
a-, o-, consonant, i-, u- and e-declension. Case, number, gender.
Declension, comparison, and case-number-gender agreement with the noun.
Spot AcI, NcI, participial phrases and the ablative absolute in real sentences, not isolated forms. Exactly where translations usually fall apart.
From the a-declension to the AcI: short lessons with a mini quiz, plus every paradigm table for reference. Forms are not pulled from a fixed list but built from the actual rules, so they hold up on the edge cases too.
You see, in black and white, how confident you are for each form type, and what to work on next. No sugar-coating, but no discouragement either.
No account, no tracking. Your progress stays on your device.
Eight ranks, each tied to a level. Not a scoring system for its own sake, the rank reflects how many forms you genuinely have down.

All of them. On first launch, the app asks how far along you are in Latin and which tenses, moods and declensions you've already covered. Anything you haven't learned yet is hidden, so you're never shown a form your class hasn't reached. Later, you can unlock more in the settings whenever you like.
Only for the purchase. After that, everything runs offline: forms are built on the device following the actual rules, not fetched from a server. Handy on the bus, the train, or at school.
No. There's no account, no sign-in, no tracking and no ads. Your progress is stored exclusively on your iPhone.
The app doesn't pull forms from a fixed list, it builds them with a grammar engine from stem and ending, including the edge cases. That engine is checked automatically against a test set with every release.
That happens constantly in Latin, portās can be "you carry" or the accusative plural of porta. In cases like that, the trainer accepts any correct reading and explains the other possibility too.
No, and that's not the goal. The app trains one specific skill: identifying forms quickly and confidently. Exactly the part where most points get lost on exams.
An iPhone with a current iOS version. The exact requirement is listed on the App Store page.
Five minutes a day is enough. The trainer picks out the forms you don't have down yet.
