Questions

Is there a free version?

No. Gapwise starts with a short mini lesson so you can see how it works. After that you can try Gapwise Pro free for 7 days with the yearly plan, and cancel any time before it starts.

Which subjects does Gapwise work for?

Anything you learn in pairs: vocabulary in any language, and terms from biology, history or chemistry. Long definitions are asked the other way round.

Can it read my handwriting?

Printed lists work best, neat handwriting often does too. Before you save, you see the recognised list and can fix any word.

Do I need the internet?

Only to read lists with AI. Practice, puzzles and worksheets work offline. Without internet your iPhone reads photos itself, with a few more mistakes.

Which iPhones are supported?

All iPhones with iOS 26. From iPhone 15 Pro, Apple Intelligence writes example sentences on the device; on older iPhones OpenAI's AI does it.

How do I cancel?

In the app, go to Settings and tap "Cancel subscription", or open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. At least 24 hours before the period ends.

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

It's deleted with the app. We don't have a copy, because nothing is ever sent to us.
